Findspot record TQ 95 SW 61 - Iron Age finds from metal detector survey at Royton and Mount Castle near Lenham Heath
Summary
A metal detector survey of the area revealed several finds, including iron nails, pieces of bronze and a bronze rim. Three 1m x 1m x 1m test pits were dug in the area of the gate of the Iron Age fort and pieces of iron slag, worked flints and Iron Age sherds were also discovered.
