Full Description

From the report

"The geophysical survey undertaken on the playing field at Salmestone School has identified the location of a buried air raid shelter adjacent to the 1990's extension. A number of linear areas of high energy response in the northern limits may suggest the structure extends beyond the limit of the survey area." (1)

Test pits only found partial traces of the structure. (2)

In 2008 stripping of the topsoil prior to the construction of a new building on the site located the truncated remains of the shelter. (3)
