Farm, first mentioned in the 12th century. Several buildings were shown on the first edition Ordnance Survey map (c. 1869) all of which seem to have been of 18th or 19th century date.

In 2004 a photographic survey and inspection was carried out ptiot to the demolition of most of the buildings in advance of redevelopment for housing.

Building 1 was a 6 bay timber barn of a construction type typical of the late 18th century. It is probably the building shown on the 1797 estate map. This barn will be retained and converted.

Building 2 and 2a was a single storey open plan shed, 5 bays by 2 bays with 2 slate covered hipped roofs. The outer walls were mainly brick with some weatherboarding. It dated from between 1869 and 1895 having been built for general agricultural purposes.

Buildings 3, 3a and 3b. Building 3 was a long single bay wide timber-gframed shed on a brick plinth with painted weatherboarding. It dated to 1841 - 1869. At its north building 3b was similar and was linked to the barn.It was added before the end of the century. The western section was extended to form building 3a in the post Second World War period.

Building 4 was broadly contemporary with buildings 1 and 3 dating from the late 18th to early 19th century. It formed the southern end of a range with building 1 at the north.

Building 5 was of late 20th century date.

Clenches Cottages comprised two semi-detached 2 storey residential properties with slate hipped roofs. They date to 1841 - 1869. These buildings were retained under the proposed development.(1)
