Full Description

A set (9) of Second World War 5 ft anti-tank blocks still exists at Loose Road, Maidstone, part of the southern defences of the town (1)
Visited in 2025 as part of a survey of Maidstone Borough's 20th century defences. The durveyor described the site as " Anti Tank obstacles (Cubes). Located underneath the pedestrian footbridge crossing the Loose Road, Maidstone. Concrete anti tank cubes 5ft square, 9 in total. A rare survivor from the WW2 Maidstone Fortress defence/stop line. Good overall condition (2)
