Full Description

Type 28A anti-tank pillbox located to defend the crossing of the Medway to the south. Located in overgrown area. Steps down protected by detached blast wall.(1)

A Pillbox Study Group assessment concluded the structure is actually a Vickers Gun Emplacement (2)

A 2025 survey described the site as "Vickers machine gun emplacement. Litle Venice Holiday Park Yalding. In recreation field by Oaktree. Concrete construction, Very good overall condition. Access to interior, partly buried but embrasures are open. Concrete steps to entrance. Good overall condition" (3)
