Full Description
During the Second World War a loophole was cut in the wall by the entrance to the army camp that once existed in Mote Park. The loophole would have served as a defence point. Whether the loophole still exists is unknown. (1)
Visited in 2024 and still in good condition. Described as "Two loopholes. Approx 60cm x 15cm cut into the stone boundary wall, with mortar-rendered sides, on the west side of the pedestrian entrance" (2)
