Full Description
A Second World War hexagonal pillbox exists west of Barming Bridge, part of the GHQ line defending the Medway. The pillbox defends Barming Bridge In conjunction with a type 28A pillbox to the east of the bridge.(1) Visible in 2018
Surveyed by the 2024-6 Maidstone 20th century military and civil defence survey. It was described as "Concrete construction, poor condition, loss of some brick shuttering. Close inspection not possible but overgrown and flooded inside" (2)
