Robber trench, post holes and modern sewer pipe with finds from the Roman period to the Modern era, St. Margaret's Church, Barming. Post hole contained Roman, post medieval and modern finds, including pieces of Roman roof tile, iron nails, peg tile, C18th earthenware, half a horseshoe, sheep bone, 3 shards of coarse pottery, 7 flakes of struck flint, 1 flint core, 2 pieces of peg tile. Robber trench contained post hole, two medieval sherds of grey sandy fabric pottery (AD 1225-1400). Modern (C20th) finds included clear and green bottle glass and 20 small chinia chips and 3 peg tile sherds. Elsewhere 4 struck flints abraided roof tile pieces, a single rim sherd and one BB2 body sherd. (1)
