Full Description
From January to April 2007 an archaeological excavation was carried out during improvement works on the A2 between the Pepperhill and Cobham junctions (area B and C). Early Iron Age finds were made including pottery and also a copper alloy, possibly a coin. An iron age hollow way discovered during the Channel Tunnel Rail Link excavations continued into this site but here it was surfaced with cobbles. (1)
