Summary
Medieval iron smelting site. Several shallow slag-filled features. 'Considerable' quantity of slag. Large sherd of Limpsfield ware vessel (dated to mid C12th-mid13th AD) found in one of the curvilinear features. A second sherd of this type of pottery was recovered from the stripped subsoil surface
