Second World War anti-tank gun emplacement south of the river Medway (1)
Anti-tank pillbox with main embrasure facing the bridge to north east covering Twyford Bridge. Possible square AT obstacle block c. 15 m to south next to possible other structure. Fair condition.
A 2025 survey described the site: "Antitank Pillbox Type 28A. Yalding. Edge of river Teise at end of Leas recreation area. Embrasures are open. Hold fast for Anti-Tank gun in place. Concrete construction, good overall condition. Facing 61 degrees NE. Good overall condition" (2
