Full Description
Gasworks were moved to this site from a site in the west of the town to avoid river dues on coal and to be adjacent to the Canal basin of the Thames and Medway canal. Had a retort house, gasomaters and a tramway.
Appears on the OS 25" maps 1st to 4th editions.
