Detling Airfield- Probable Type 11008/41 Second World War Battle Headquarters
Shaft entrance to one side and above ground structure with 360 degree viewing slit and chamfered edges visible
Visited in 2024 as part of the Maidstone 20th century military and civil defence survey (1). Condition described as "Fair overall condition, a quantity of concrete rubble has been dumped on it but can be entered. Evidence of battens on walls to hold notice boards internally." (3)
