Full Description

In 2003 a magnetometry survey was carried out by English Heritage at Oldbury Hillfort. The survey took place on a north - south transect in an area of fruit trees. In the eastern half of the transect, among the trees, no clear anomalies could be detected. In the western half, however, several possible features were found including a possible large pit and group of pits, although they could all be natural. There was a generally high level of background magnetic 'noise', particularly among the trees.(1)
