Full Description
Two evaluation trenches cut across the footprint of a proposed new agricultural building revealed a single archaeological feature in the form of a shallow gully, perhaps of prehistoric date. Three pieces of prehistoric flintwork were recovered. One was found in the lower subsoil, the other two were found in the gully infill.
There was no clear evidence for Roman habitation on the site. Two small fragments of Roman tile were recovered from the subsoil (1).
