Monument record TR 05 SE 8 - Second century Roman cremation burials, Chilham

Summary

A number of second century Romano-British pottery sherds were found during work to lay a pipeline at Chilham in 1962. This assemblage was identified as the remains of cremation burials and a quantity of burnt bones were also found. The finds are now in Ashford Museum (2024)
