Findspot record TR 05 SE 23 - Neolithic axe-head, Chilham

Summary

A polished stone axe-head, made from sandstone and with perforations, was found on the surface of a field at Chilham. On the basis of its type the axe has been dated to the Neolithic period. The artefact is thought to be held by the Royal Museum in Canterbury.
