Monument record TR 05 SE 32 - Site of Court Lodge House, Godmersham
Summary
A 13th century house was formerly located at Court Lodge in Godmersham. This house was built in the 13th century and demolished in 1955. The lodge was excavated by the Kent Archaeological Society and three main construction phases have been identified. Along with the original 13th century coursed flint walls, the foundations of 18th century brick walls and 19th century additions were noted.
