Full Description
In a fold of the hills in a cleared portion of the Challock Forest, at TR 03495021, is a large flat-topped apparently unditched mound, some 30.0m in diameter and 1.7m in height; its position and general appearance suggest a windmill mound. This is emphasised by the proximity of a small quarry, the dimensions of which suggest it as the source of the mound's material. Surveyed at 1:2500. (1) Wye, smock base, disappeared in recent years.
