Full Description

TR05836216: A Neolithic tranchet axe was recently (c 1971) found at the edge of a public footpath near the Seasalter Farm, Graveney, and will be presented to the Faversham Museum. (1) The axe is in the possesion of the finder, Shaun Theobald, of Murtons Road, Graveney. The axe measures 135mm x 30mm and shows signs of extensive use. A number of struck flints have been found in the same area. Information as above. The axe will go into the Faversham Society's collection for display at the Fleur de Lis Centre. (2)
