Full Description
"Roman Remains discovered in and near Faversham" - Between Ospringe Parsonage and the Brooks, cinerary urns have been found. (1) From the plantation on the south side of Abbots Hill, Ospringe (i.e. exactly one mile due south of the Roman cemetery, Syndale - TQ 96 SE 8) a dupondius of Claudius I. (Pottery is recorded as having been found "between Ospringe Parsonage and the Brooks", (a) probably in this same field.) (2)
