Full Description
Second World War Decontamination Centre established in late 1939 against the threat of chemical warfare, within an isolation hospital on the recreation ground on the eastern side of Springhead Road, Northfleet. Details of the extent of the adaptation of the building are unknown but the centre was for the decontamination of people and clothing. The decommissioning date is unknown as is the exact date of the demolition of the building in post-war years.
