Second World War public trench air raid shelter in the form of a buried tunnel under Rosherville Recreation Ground, Burnaby Road, Northfleet. Probably built in 1939/40 and decommissioned by early 1945, and probably made inaccessible by 1946. With capacity for 344 people, it served the nearby community in neighbouring streets. No plans of it survive but it is likely to have been a concrete lined and roof trench in a staggered configuration, with several entrances and emergency exits. There are some undulations in the grassed surface of this open space and the shelter may still exist beneath.
