Full Description
Second World War light anti-aircraft battery in a field at Pepper Hill, Northfleet. It mounted one quad mounting for Vickers machine guns. It was designated Battery N2 for Vulnerable Point VP103, which appears to have been the nearby electricity sub-station. A design is unclear but was probably a circular pit in the centre of which the mounting was positioned. The battery was in existence in 1942 but may have originated in 1940-1 and perhaps lasted until 1943. It is now a grassy space between modern housing.
