Second World War air raid siren post established in Cooper's Road, on the east side of its junction with Garden Road, Northfleet by September, 1939. The detail of the installation is unknown but the siren was an electrically-operated device with rotating steel blades producing modulated sounds to warn the neighbouring community of the approach of enemy raiders and to give the all-clear once they had passed. It would have been decommissioned by the end of the war in Europe in 1945 and probably removed by around 1946.
