Full Description

Second World War War headquarters for 12 Light anti-aircraft Regiment RA (56 Brigade), at existing house 'Polperro' within a walled enclosure on the south side of the Rochester Road, at Chalk, near Gravesend. This regiment appears to have been the one responsible for defending the nearby RAF Gravesend in Thong Lane. Longevity and nature of the accommodation used is unknown. The house itself still exists but access to the premises was not granted.
