Full Description
A polished Neolithic grey flint axe presented to Maidstone Museum by Mr John Rose, 35 Cress Way, Faversham, (Acc. No. 67/1966) was found, whilst clearing ground in his back garden in 1964 by Mr J. Smith, 3 Green Way, Davington, near Faversham. Mr Smith indicated the exact findspot at TR 0086 1556 (a) (1). A rare Neolithic polished flint gouge (2). Additional references (3,4).
