Second World War reserve Civil Defence Control Centre, established in 1941, in a basement of a flint-walled Victorian private house at 10 Springhead Road, Northfleet. This was to support the Control Centre at Northfleet Town Hall in Council Avenue. Access was not possible but the basement is thought still to exist. Details of any adaptations to fit it for its designated use are unknown. It would have been decommissioned no later than the end of the Second World War in Europe, 1945. The house is extant but the basement could not be visited.
