Full Description
1905 training battery of 2 x 12 pr. quick-firing guns in a civilian garage, at the north end of Factory Road, Northfleet. The guns were on pedestal mountings, facing the River Thames, with a theoretical wide field of fire through a large doorway. The training would have been related to the use of such guns in an active coastal defence battery elsewhere. No other details are known. The building still exists but is not available to inspection.
