Second World War Home Guard Battle Headquarters at 'The George' public house, Wrotham Road, Meopham. From this building, Vulnerable Point V8, part of the anti-invasion defences, was to be commanded. The nature of any adaptations to the building is not known. The public house still exists. The building is likely to have been designated in 1940 and was probably decommissioned for defence purposes by 1944.
