Cold War civil defence training centre established through periodic use of the class rooms at the Hill School, The Hill, Northfleet. This probably started in 1952 and was discontinued by January, 1954. Originaly the National school opened in 1838. The school was demolished around 1980.

Full Description

Cold War civil defence training centre established through periodic use of the class rooms at the Hill School, The Hill, Northfleet. This reflected the need to find somewhere in the absence of permanent premises to provide training of the recently formed Civil Defence Corps. Use of the school probably started around 1952 and was discontinued by January, 1954. Originaly the National school opened in 1838. The school was demolished around 1980.
