Full Description
Sherds of Belgic pottery including platters and jars found in "black earth" in the garden of Broadlands, Ashford Road, Faversham by M. Poole: also a leaf-shaped arrowhead. Found 1965. Now in Royal Museum, Canterbury Acc. No. 8394, 8395, 8554. Mr Poole indicated the exact find-site at TR 0147 6008. The finds were made at about 4ft. depth when his son was digging a hole (now filled in and grassed over) for amusement. (1)
