Second World War Civil Defence depot at the rear of Owletts on the northern side of the junction of The Street with Sole Street, Cobham. This appears to have been a hut and hard-standing, first occupied for the storage of civil defence vehicles in the late Autumn of 1938. It was approved for an annex for a fire engine in May, 1939. This depot served Cobham and the surrounding countryside district. Its precise location at the back of the house, layout and longevity are not known. The depot would have been decommissioned by the end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945. There are no identifiable remains. The hut is likely to have beenn removed by around 1946. Owletts continues in existence as a National Trust property, open to visitors at designated times.
