Full Description
Second World War Civil Defence Headquarters at the Knowle, off the west side of School Lane, Higham. It served the area centred on Higham. This large residential house appears to have been utilised from 1940 and would have been decommissioned by the end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945. No other details are known. The house rermains in use as a restaurant.
