Full Description
Second World War Home Guard defended Vulnerable Point V8 , centred on the Meopham Green area of Meopham. This was part of the anti-invasion defences. The exact nature of the defences is unknown but their garrison was 70, with 60 rifles, and 2 Browning Automatic Rifles. The Vulnerable Point was probably decommissioned by early 1944.
