Full Description

Second World War defended Vulnerable Point V7, centred on Cobham Park, east of Cobham Village. This was part of the anti-invasion defences but the nature and location of its positions are unknown. Its garrison consisted of 30 Home Guard, with 38 rifles, 3 Browning Automatic Rifles, 1 Browning Machine Gun, 2 Northover Projectors + 100 men from 489 Battery RA with 30 rifles and 1 Vickers Machine Gun. The VP was probably designated in 1940 and would have been decommissioned by early 1944.
