Full Description
Second World War Defended Locality DL27, centred on Ordnance Road, Gravesend. It was part of the anti-invasion defences and probably originated in 1940. The nature of the defences is unknown but there was a garrison of 30 Home Guard with 20 rifles and 2 Browning Automatic Rifles. It would have been decommissioned by early in 1944. There are no traces of the defences remaining.
