Full Description
Second World War Battle Headquarters at Shorne School, Shorne for Vulnerable Point V6, centred on Shorne Village. It was established by 1940 as part of the anti-invasion defences, and would probably have involved some adaptive works at the school. The Battle Headquarters would have been decommissioned by early in 1944 and any adaptations removed by 1945. The school was demolished c. 1988 and is now the site of private housing.
