Full Description
Second World War Battle Headquarters for Defended Locality DL29, at the Tollgate Inn, Wrotham Road, Gravesend. This was part of the anti-invasion defences and probably originated in 1940. It would have involved at least some adaptation of the existing premises. It would have been decommissioned by early in 1944 and the residue of any alterations removed by 1945. No trace remains.
