Full Description
Second World War Battle Headquarters for Defended Locality DL20, at the White Hart Inn, Rochester Road, Chalk, nr. Gravesend. Part of the anti-invasion defences, it would have been established in 1940 as an adaptation of the inn. The Battle Headquarters would have been decommissioned by 1944. The inn was demolished in about 2000 and was subsequently succeeded by a Harvester Restaurant .
