Full Description
Second World War timber hut for the Home Guard in a green space next to the waterworks at Higham and on the east side of School Lane. It was rectangular, about 10 m x 4 m. with a pitched roof. The hut was a local headquarters and an assembly point for the Home Guard patrolling the Higham area. It probably originated in 1940, to be decommissioned by 1944 and demolished in about 1960.
