Second World War air raid wardens post in front of the County School (later a technical college and now the Victoria Centre), Darnley Road, Gravesend, one of a network of such posts serving Gravesend. It was a local focus in the incident reporting chain for coordinating the emergency services in the event of injury or damage resulting from an air raid. It was also a place from which patrolling wardens enforced blackout restrictions. Its design and construction are not known but it would have been decommissioned by the end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945. It was presumably demolished by 1946.
