Full Description

Second World War Emergency Water Tank established, probably in 1940, at the southern extremity of the western part of Wombell Park, Northfleet. It was placed to provide a ready-use supply of water for fighting fires caused by bombing in its neighbourhood. It supplemented the mains supply. Its design is unknown. It was probably removed at the end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945.
