Full Description

Second World War emergency water tank at the SE corner of Woodlands Park, Gravesend. It was probably established by 1940, to provide an instant supply of water to supplement the mains, for the purpose of fighting fires in the neighbourhood resulting from bombing. Its design is unclear. It would have been decommissioned by the end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945, to be removed by 1946.
