Second World War Emergency Water Tank utilising the swimming pool in Ordnance Road, Gravesend. This use probably began in 1940, to provide a supply of water for fighting fires in the neighbourhood in the event of an air raid. No other details are known. It would have been decommissioned for war purposes at the end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945. The swimming pool was infilled about 1990.
