Summary

Second World War Emergency Water Tank utilising the swimming pool in Ordnance Road, Gravesend. This use probably began in 1940, to provide a supply of water for fighting fires in the neigbourhood, in the event of an air raid. It would have been decommissioned for war purposes in 1945 and the swimming pool was infilled in about 1990.
