Full Description
Second World War public air raid shelter on the northern edge of Lime Avenue, Northfleet. This was a surface shelter for 54 people, probably of rectangular brick form with a flat concrete roof. It seems to have partly encroached on the street itself. It may have originated in 1940, would have been decommissioned at the end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945 and would have been removed by 1946.
