Full Description
Second World War public air raid shelter for 20 people in the basement of a private house at 94 Springhead Road, Northfleet. This would have originated by 1940 and timber strutting introduced for strengthening of the shelter area. It would have been decommissioned by the end of the Second World War in Europe in 1945, any strutting being removed probably in 1946. The house still remains.
