Summary

Second World War light antiaircraft battery VG2 in a field east of Thong Lane, Near Gravesend. One of four batteries which appear to have been sited for the defence of RAF Gravesend. It consisted of a quad gun for 4 Vickers machine guns and a Lewis gun. These were in position by May, 1942 but probably originated earlier. The date of removal is unknown.
