Full Description
Second World War light anti-aircraft battery VG2 in a field east of Thong Lane, Nr. Gravesend. One of four batteries which appear to have been sited for the defence of RAF Gravesend. It cosisted of a quad gun for 4 Vickers machine guns and a Lewis gun. These were in position by May, 1942, but probably originated earlier. The weapons were probably sited in sandbagged pits. The date of removal is unknown.
