Second World War light anti-aircraft battery VG1 in a former field (now within the Riverside Park housing estste), Gravesend. One of four batteries which appear to have been sited for the defence of RAF Gravesend. It consisted of one 40mm Bofors gun and 1 Lewis gun, probably in separate, perhaps sandbagged pits.
