Second World War air raid wardens post on the south side of West Street, Gravesend, one of a network of such posts to serve Gravesend. It reported to a control centre in Gravesend and was a local focus in the incident reporting chain for coordinating the emergency services in the event of injury or damage resulting from an air raid. Its patrolling wardens also enforced blackout restrictions. Its design and form are unknown. It would originated c. 1940, have been decommissioned by 1945 and demolished c. 1948.
